ICPN team members have been providing onsite-learning opportunities since inception of the program. In 2015, ICPN launched the Professional Development Initiate to benefit members of the community and provider agencies. Since this time, both members of ICPN as well as outside speakers have offered Professional Development Workshops and Learning Experiences throughout the state of Illinois. All topics are based on observed trends in the field in effort to provide support to staff and community members working with adults and children with challenging behaviors and/or medical difficulties. Goals of this initiative include increasing the education to those who take care of and provide services, providing relevant tools, and attempting to shift the focus of treatment away from crisis, and work towards prevention. Check our calendar of events below.
Milestone staff and I have attended several of ICPN’s workshops and we find them very beneficial. It is refreshing to attend a workshop taught by knowledgeable people who are hands on in the field. We always take something away from the training and bring it back to our facility. It is extremely helpful that many of the training’s are local or close by and we can’t beat the price.

I want to take a moment to say thank you for the exceptional training opportunities provided by the Springfield ICPN network. They present relevant and detailed trainings that improve the work and advocacy of my ISC teams. The ISC’s have used the ICPN’s clinical and professional information to assist providers, individuals and families in a positive manner. The ICPN trainings have far reaching impact in the lives of the people we serve. The Springfield team of ICPN staff know the field and the issues that are challenging in our communities.
